Hey, I didn't come up with the concept of sentient evil clothing made out of self-propelled goo that kills and eats people! What's more obscene than your clothes are alive and obsessed with you, really? The situation is already as creepy and fucked-up as possible to begin with. (Not to mention that SD had to consider a tag for "Tony Stark is molested by his armor" because of a Joe Q story in which the armor comes alive and turns into a jealous lover who threatens Tony's current girlfriend." Freud would have a field day with that!)

...Seriously, Venom is a great example of the problems of doing drugs and doing comics at the same time: it ain't all cracky, psychedelic fun, kids! This is what happens when you get *paranoid* AND the walls start moving around, and it doesn't stop there... Can we say 'Monsters from the Id,' class?"

Did the symbiotes like the taste of male nipples and digest them, or what?

GAH! Don't even joke about that.

How come the female symbiotes have visible nipple poke-through (going back to Esther's observation about gender-disparate anatomical incorrectnesses) and yet the male symbiotes have perfectly smooth pecs? Did the symbiotes like the taste of male nipples and digest them, or what?

Yeah, I always found that weird. I was planning on mentioning that during a later Scream appearance, but you had to ruin it!

I think she was there because when you look at it, Spider-Man is on E when it comes to female villains. Who else were they going to use, Shriek?

As a fun aside, for some Goddamn crazy hoo-ha reason, Scream is one of the main villains on the (completely awesome) Spider-Man ride at Universal Studios Florida. Why? I dunno.

But Carnage Unleashed. The Heat Sink line brought back fond memories of what was the fourth comic I ever owned.
