  1. if you like yotsuba you should watch chii’s sweet home.

  2. One instance I can think of where I liked the “Batman is the real identity” convention was an episode of Batman Beyond, where someone tries to drive Bruce Wayne crazy by making him think he’s hearing voices. He sees through the ruse because the voices refer to him as “Bruce” whereas apparently, he refers to himself as Batman in his own mind.

I saw a fan translation of the early Yotsuba chapters where Jumbo first meets the Ayase sisters, and the impression that it gave me was that he was never actually attracted to Fuka, he was just going in for comedic flattery.
By the by, according to this height chart, which I’m pretty sure is official, Jumbo’s a whopping 6″11.

  3. @versasovantare: Yeah, that was a good bit. I mainly don’t like it because it’s used to show Batman as this cold, unfeeling, jerk of a hero with no personal life. I think that Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent are both fully represented by their alter egos, like they can’t not be Batman or Superman. They aren’t different people when they put on their tights and fight.

  4. Yeah, Wanker Batman’s been overdone.
I actually quite like Batman being fairly crabby and hard to get along with, but not to the extent that he becomes completely unlikable.

  5. Speaking of Yotsuba, do you have a Yotsuba& banner for 4thletter? It would fit pretty well with the four-theme.

  6. This reminds me I need to thank you for telling me about Yotsuba&, I really enjoy the hell out of it. So much so that I also read Azumanga Daioh which was also pretty great.

  7. have to share this Yotsuba& related image
